Data <3 Good Leadership

Data Science is a relatively new discipline, and product and business leaders across the tech industry are still learning how to leverage data in their decision-making process.

There is quite a bit of “how to” material out there on technical topics like machine learning applications, experimentation, data engineering, etc., but relatively little that discusses how data leaders should think about developing their teams with those skills given their specific organization’s data needs.

And then there are a lot of great resources out there for people managers, but are either relatively generic or haven’t been targeted specifically to the data community.

This newsletter is aimed at the emerging data leader, whether a manager who has recently transitioned from an individual contributor role, a technical lead who is interested in growing their leadership skills, or a product manager dabbling in data who wants to understand why the heck data scientists are so hedgy sometimes.
